The U.S. Interior Department cleared plans by theTohonlo O'odham Nation for a casino on county land bordering Glendale to be further reviewed for finap federal approval. The O'odham want to develop a 1.2 million-square-foot casino and resort on unincorporated county land at 91st andNortherm avenues. Since launching the pilot in the insurer andits partner, the State Health Plan for Teacher s and State Employees, has paid $4.2 millioh to participating physicians. The pilot includeed 194 physicians representing 41 practices who earnec rewards for meeting at least onequalitu standards. Counting all of the insurer’s networ k of doctors, regardless of whether they participated in thepiloyt program, more than 970 had achieved at leasr one quality standard as of When BCBSNC began the pilot, fewer than 100 physicians in the state were recognized as having met a standard.

Scott Tolliver, a long-time genera manager for a localcar dealer, is openinbg July 11 at 80 Loop Road. He has renovatesd the 4,600-square-foot building, putting in new carpeting, paint and office furniture. After 20 yearsx with the same dealership, Tolliver said he saw a need for used cars. The dealership will specialize in used cars that rang e in pricefrom $3,000 to $15,000. “It’d hard to find medium-priced he said. Tolliver said he expects to have betweehn 35 and 50 used cars onthe one-acre lot at any given time and sell between 20 and 30 cars per month.
