The charitable giving arm of (NYSE: MI) is donating a total of $75,00 to strengthen organizations that provide foreclosurew counselingand first-time homebuyer education. Urbanh Economic Development Association (UEDA) of Milwaukee, to support UEDA’s work to convenew housing-related organizations to best serve those in need of foreclosurerprevention resources; Fair Housing Council, to support the Fair Housing Council’s foreclosure prevention community outreach; Housing Milwaukee, to support education programming for first-time homebuyers; Unitef Community Center, Milwaukee, to support the first-timre home buyers education program; Selecg Milwaukee, Milwaukee, to support foreclosure prevention programming; and Career Youth Development, Milwaukee, to support first-tims home buyers program.
Milwaukee-basefd M&I Marshall & Ilsley Bank is also providinvhomeowner assistance, through a progran announced Dec. 18, 2008, that includes a foreclosure moratorium that is in place throughJune 30. M&I’sd Homeowner Assistance Program also features streamlined assistancre programs for potentially distressed homeowners who are identified in advancde and proactivelyoffered assistance.
